Introduction

I started this blog because of my concern for my country. I am 82 years old and have lived a long American life.  I was born in 1941 in New Jersey, but have lived most of my life (since age 17) in Florida.  I am the product of an Alabama mother and a research scientist who was a first generation American born in N.Y.  I am a graduate of the University of Florida (“63) and its Law School (“65).  I am a former Marine Corp captain, have served from 1965 to 1970, after which I practiced law in Florida as a civil trial attorney for 42 years (retiring from the bar in 2008).   I have lived under 14 Presidents of the United States, most of who I remember, and understand the significance and policies of their time in office. I write this blog out of concern for my country as a citizen and veteran.   My first comments will follow.
